Patagonian steppe

The Patagonian steppe, a vast and rugged area in southern Argentina, covers large parts of the Patagonia region and significantly shapes its landscape. This expansive, arid plateau is bordered by the Andes mountain range to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The area is known for its extreme weather conditions and isolated location. It covers most of the Argentine provinces and is often perceived as a monotonous plain, interrupted only by low hills and scattered mountains.
